Now Let Me Introduce Myself…

My name is Ryan Gibbons and I am a student in the Nursing Program here at Tomball College. This is my first experience blogging, and I hope everyone will enjoy reading this as much as I hope to enjoy writing it. Who Knows? I may be the next Perez Hilton, only without the rainbow-tinted hair and horrible things to say about other people. I’ll keep those to myself. J

I have been attending Tomball College for three years, and will graduate in May with an associate’s degree in nursing. My experience here has been wonderful and I am thankful to all the amazing instructors who have made my academic career enjoyable and educational. I am the Vice-President of the Student Nursing Association, which has taught me a lot about leadership and politics. I also work part-time as a supervisor at a local coffee shop. I love/hate my job, but more on that later I’m sure.

I have a really full schedule this semester: Studying, class, clinicals, work, applying for internships, preparing for my licensure exam, and preparing for graduation. But, I felt this was an opportunity too good to pass up. I hope over the course of the semester I can give you guys some insight into the nursing program and into the graduation process. I also hope to enlighten and to entertain, but don’t hold me too that. J
